I have heard that legendary Emmerdale hard man and resident wit
Matthew King (Matt Healy) is going to perform Edelweis on the Stars in
Your Eyes Christmas Special this year. Matt has long been a fanatic of
the Sound of Music and often attends the sigalongs at his local
theatre - often in drag since the ladies get all the best songs.
Matt, has, if you have been watching carefully, been bigging up the
merits of this all time classic musical at any opportunity. It is a
good indication that he will be throwing in his hat for the chance of
playing Captain Von Trapp in the upcoming remake to be directed by Tim
Burton next year.

Does that mean that he's leaving Emmerdale? If so then does that mean that he
bumped off his old man because I personally think this thing is dragging on
far too long. Those two cops that are in charge of the case are taking far
too long to solve it. Dempsey & Makepeace would never have taken this long :)

P.S For those that are too young to remember Dempsey & Makepeace was a 80's
cop show in which Glynis Barber also played a police officer.

Yes, there is a striking resemblance to Glynis Barber. Good casting.
You have not figured it out yet, huh? The reason its taking the police
so long is that spanners are being thrown in the works by the murderer
- that gallumphing, horse headed chief constable that is always
drooling over Rosemary. Imagine the two of them under the duvet if you
dare. Example of terrible casting - he'd be better as a long lost
Dingle.

Striking resemblance? Surely you jest? Have you not read the cast list?
I originally wanted it to be Rosemary who killed Tom but I have warmed to
her quite a lot since then, re taking a shine to Belle and slumming it in
the shed with Zak drinking whisky out of a mug. I would love it to be
someone else altogether, although Matt is a horrible person and would be
great if it was him (the character is horrible not the actor, you
understand, an example of excellent acting I am sure).
